Investing In The Future Of Australian Hemp Processing

Processing Efficiences

At Good Country Hemp, we’re continuing to invest in our Bordertown processing facility to improve efficiency, consistency and quality while supporting the growing demand for Australian hemp foods.

Our in-house hemp processing operations have been refined with increased automation and a more streamlined production system. A major improvement has been the introduction of our new filter press, which significantly speeds up the filtration process. Previously, natural filtration could take 6–8 weeks; the new system allows us to achieve the same high-quality results in a much shorter timeframe while improving consistency and reducing the risk of contamination.

Further efficiency gains come from creating a more continuous processing flow — from pressing hemp seed oil through to milling the remaining seed into premium hemp protein powder. This integrated approach reduces handling, improves production control and helps us maintain the high standards our customers expect.

Supporting Australian Hemp Seed Growers

As demand for hemp foods continues to grow, securing a reliable supply of quality Australian-grown hemp seed is becoming increasingly important. Seed supply remains tight, but we remain committed to working with Australian growers to source locally grown hemp seed.

Unlike some products in the market that may include imported seed, Good Country Hemp continues to focus on producing 100% Australian-grown hemp foods. This commitment supports local agriculture, strengthens traceability and provides consumers with confidence in the origin and quality of the products they choose.

Building Capacity for Future Growth

With strong sales growth predicted across the hemp food category, our investment in improved processing capability ensures we are prepared to meet future demand. By combining smarter technology, refined processes and strong relationships with Australian growers, we can continue to deliver premium hemp foods that are locally grown, locally processed and trusted by customers.

Our commitment remains clear: to produce the highest quality Australian hemp foods while investing in the systems and partnerships that will support the future of the industry.
